Hello World! · Python
Ch 2 · Your First Python Program — card 1 of 3.
Every programmer starts here. "Hello, World!" is a simple program that just shows text on screen — and it proves your setup is working.
In Python, we use the print() function to display any message. The text you want to show is placed inside quote marks. Notice there is no semicolon at the end — in Python, simply ending the line is enough to finish an instruction. This is part of what makes Python so clean to read.
# print() shows text on the screen
print("Hello, World! 🚀")
# You can also store text in a variable first
message = "Welcome to Python!"
print(message)
