Hello World! · JavaScript
Ch 2 · Your First JavaScript Program — card 1 of 3.
Every programmer starts here. "Hello, World!" is a simple program that just shows text on screen — and it proves your setup is working.
In JavaScript, we use console.log() to display any message. The text you want to show must be placed inside quote marks, and the whole instruction ends with a semicolon (;). That semicolon is like a full stop in a sentence — it tells JavaScript that one instruction has finished.
// console.log() prints text to the screen
console.log("Hello, World! 🚀");
// You can also store text in a variable first
let message = "Welcome to JavaScript!";
console.log(message);
